Tech Neck is the buzzword for "Forward-Head Posture" that is characterized by frequent use of electronic devices that results in an imbalance of our neck muscles. This causes degenerative changes in our cervical spine, leading to chronic neck pain, tension headaches, and decreased ability to maintain a correct posture.
In this workshop, you will learn specific exercises that you can do at home on a regular basis to counteract the forward head posture and even correct imbalances in your cervical spine so that you may achieve optimal alignment of your head and neck!
About Kateryna Bakay
Kateryna Bakay earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma in
2010. While she practiced in a variety of settings, outpatient orthopedics has become her passion. She
initially moved to the PNW to work at Boeing manufacturing where she treated employees following
traumatic and overuse injuries as well as provided onsite ergonomic evaluations. After several years
of working at an industrial setting, Kateryna transitioned to a private orthopedic clinic to further
develop her clinical skills. In 2016 Kateryna completed STOTT Pilates certification training and has
been integrating pilates exercise approach into her patient care ever since. Using pilates apparatus
(Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels), clients are able to move their bodies in all planes of motion with

this holistic approach, her patients recover faster and maintain their fitness level in the long-term.
Staying current with industry trends, training, and education, Kateryna became Board-certified in
Orthopedic Physical Therapy through American Physical Therapy Association and is regularly
involved in continuing education coursework to stay current with evidence-based treatment
strategies.
In 2017 Kateryna founded Bend & Stretch Physical Therapy LLC, pursuing her passion of providing
an individualized rehabilitation program integrating Pilates and physical therapy. Her treatment focus
is to empower her clients and provide them with tools necessary to achieve their fitness and health
