Let’s be honest, starting Pilates can feel intimidating.

That’s why we offer small classes of up to 4 people.

We want everyone to feel welcomed, safe, and supported in our studio.

  • I’ve been taking classes at Lagom for over a year. All of the instructors have been fantastic, even the substitutes. They make everyone feel welcome and comfortable and are there to help you! The small class size is great and all of the students I’ve met have also been nice. Melina, the owner and instructor, is funny and kind and keeps class light and fun (but hard!). When I got sick and couldn’t use my class pass she extended it for me. She even linked my accounts with my parents so I can schedule classes for them when they come to visit. I tried classes at a couple other local studios but ultimately came back to Lagom because it’s my favorite. I have bought multiple different packages and have been happy with all the options. Highly recommend!

  • Taking a minute to tell you about this special place, I cannot say enough about how welcoming and comforting this space is. The classes are small, the instructors are top notch, the workout invigorates my body and soul. Lots of options for beginners to advanced, variations are provided in classes with each movement depending on where you are on your Pilates journey. This place has been such an important part of my own journey to better physical (and mental) health. Other fun classes are offered throughout each season too, I took a Sound Bath class that was amazing, I even 'dragged' my husband along and he loved it! Plus I love to support small, local, women owned businesses! Thank you Lagom Studios for being part of my life 🩷

  • Lagom Studio has become my home away from home ❤️ I started going about a year ago and I was a little nervous, but I felt comfortable immediately. The studio is nice and cozy, classes are small, so the instructors are always super attentive and helpful as I’ve been learning and building up my Pilates skills. The instructors are also great at paying attention to your skill level and challenging you within your bounds. I always feel better after every class and overall I feel like my body is getting stronger and healthier. I honestly can’t say enough about Lagom, 10/10 recommend this studio to anyone and everyone! I’ve even brought my husband and mom along with me and both really enjoyed it. If you’re considering Pilates, this is a really great place to start. Melina, Loubee, Lenisa and Megan are amazing! Each instructor/class are unique, so I recommend trying a few different classes, you’ll learn something new each time. If you’re looking for a challenge, the Empower and Bounce classes always deliver! Long live Lagom! :)

  • I’m so grateful to have found Lagom soon after I moved to West Seattle! Melina has created a genuinely welcoming and supportive environment and community. I’ve been doing private Pilates sessions with the amazing LouBee for both ongoing health and wellness as well as for an acute injury. It has been a game changer for me, and I look forward to and value each of our sessions. I also love the variety of offerings at Lagom, and I’ve enjoyed every event I’ve attended.

  • Lagom Studios is an excellent Pilates studio with high quality instructors and great energy always. Melina, the owner, is a lovely person and a great teacher. I go to class to keep my body out of PT and leave feeling like I’ve just had a great massage with my muscles warmed up and stretched out. I used to go off the island to find quality Pilates instruction—we are lucky to have this gem in our West Seattle neighborhood.

  • Melina is a wonderful instructor and just overall great human to be around. I’ve never even thought about taking a Pilates class until the other day and I’m so happy I went today. I really appreciate the small classes since I’m so introverted, it made for a very comfortable environment. It smells fresh and clean and you are surrounded by beautiful crystals. I have been suffering from some lower back pain and I’m just the one session, the pain has somewhat subsided. I will definitely be going back.

    Are you brand new to Pilates, or just want a strong foundation for your practice?

    We always recommend you to take advantage of our Intro Private Session 3 pack before joining in group classes. Come learn the fundamentals of Pilates, develop a deeper connection with your breath, and get truly comfortable on the reformer. Each session is 50 minutes long and allows you to build confidence in yourself and your movement practice.

As we have a cozy studio, please arrive no more than 5 minutes early for class, and kindly wait outside of the studio until the previous class has finished.

Perfect for intermediate and seasoned movers who would like more strength and coordination challenges. Pilates balls, resistance bands, and the magic circle are often included for deeper core activation and pelvic floor connection.

Perfect for beginners, or for those wanting to get back to the fundamentals. Learn where your body is in space, and bring mindfulness to your Pilates practice.

Class Descriptions

  • Afternoon Delight

    A fast-paced lunchtime reformer flow class to energize you through the rest of your day. Great for intermediate to advanced movers.

  • Align

    Get back to the elemental basis of Pilates and focus on spinal stacking and lengthening, while supporting oneself with the assistance of gravity and relaxing into ease in upright postures. We will utilize various pieces of equipment and move through multiple positions to increase awareness of which way is up! Perfect for anyone looking to sit tall, stand comfortably still, and hold their head high. All levels welcome!

  • Bounce

    All levels welcome

    Jump basics for better landings and tips for more ups.  Using the trampoline and other bouncy tools, we tune up our balance and play with floating in air! 

  • Essential Reformer

    Perfect for beginners and seasoned movers who would like to get back to the essentials.

    *If you are new to Pilates and interested in taking group classes, we highly encourage you to take advantage of our Intro Private Session 3 pack. You will get three private sessions where you learn the principles and fundamentals of Pilates, as well as get comfortable on the reformer.

    Ease into your day with a morning flow on reformer. Leave feeling energized, elongated, and ready to take on the day. All levels welcome!

    Using various props and Pilates equipment, this circuit class will keep you moving and your heart pounding. All levels welcome!
