    She/Her

Growing up in a tight-knit Scandinavian family on Marrowstone Island, Melina learned the art of Lagom from her Swedish Mormor.

Melina was introduced to Pilates at 15 to help re-strengthen and stabilize her body after knee surgery and has used it to rehabilitate injuries ever since. During her STOTT Pilates training, she realized that Pilates is an embodied practice of Lagom. Each movement emphasizes the importance of just the right amount of breath, body alignment, and mindful movement to enhance the mind-body connection of Pilates.

Melina is a Reiki practitioner and Breathwork Facilitator, Human Design super nerd (5/1 Emotional Manifestor-if you’re curious), and is currently immersed in Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist trainings. She cohosts monthly women's circles and quarterly retreats with Sacred Woman Collective PNW, and loves collaborating with other female entrepreneurs, so feel free to reach out!

Melina inherited a wanderlust from her adventurous Norwegian Farmor, and loves chasing waterfalls all around the world. In between Pilates sessions she is often trying to convince others to go jump into the ocean with her, creating in her art studio, or exploring the world with her fiancé and their adventure pup, Nymeria aka "Nyny".

  • She/Her

As an advocate for life-long, active play, especially as we age, I enjoy helping others find joy in their movement and confidence in their bodies so that they may take every opportunity life presents to them. Yoga, Pilates, scrambling about and dance (by all its names) has enabled me to run trails, climb trees, fall off rocks, and generally frolic around the PNW in ways I never imagined possible after my back surgery 14 years ago. In the time since, Pilates has improved my bodily awareness and provided the postural endurance necessary for everything from trans-Pacific flights to week-long hikes. I began teaching movement 13 years ago in the karate dojos of Okinawa, Japan, then moved on to the yoga mat and now I am fully trained through STOTT Pilates. I love the opportunity to work with anyone seeking to improve how they move, feel and think about their body in either group or private sessions. My favorite things to do with my body are: play outside, love on animals, dance, eat, and acro (partnered acrobatics; also know as acro yoga to some, and the most fun I have playing as an “adult”). In all my frolicking thus far, I’ve found the feeling of flow to be one in the same as the innate state of play we all grew up knowing and have only perhaps forgotten the vital importance thereof. Together we can remind each other what it is to relish moving for the pure fun of it through play in whatever form we choose. Have fun my friends, your health depends on it ;)

Megan Wiedlich
  • She/Her

Megan joins the Lagom studio with a decade of experience teaching Pilates. She is a certified instructor through STOTT Pilates and this contemporary style aligns well with her beliefs about optimal body movement and beautiful coordination. She believes Pilates is the idealistic form of exercise across the lifespan, from the older generation managing arthritis to postpartum moms restoring health, or the athlete hoping to improve their performance. She is a Physical Therapist practicing on the Eastside, and in her spare time she enjoys exploring the beautiful PNW with her family.
